In a nutshell it was created to thwart piracy of the vendor’s file format i.e. to pirate e-books. So, you now add audio/video capabilities too. Again, eventually the big guys will have to follow suit.GIF,JPG,BMP. The courses are.swf with audio/video capabilities, oh they offer text to speech too. Take it with you.

It is however imperative to understand the differences between a GIF and JPG, vector vs. raster, and transparency vs. flattened. Audio/Video Not all eLearning has Audio and/or Video, but you may end up on a project one day that requires it. You still may need to tweak and edit the audio or video files in some way.
