Here at DevLearn 2011 in Las Vegas I've got authoring tools on my mind. Michael was, of course, the creator of Authorware, a highly powerful tool from the CD-ROM era, which Adobe eventually gave up on after they inherited it from Macromedia. In effect, to give us back what we had with tools in the 1980s and 90s. That's a shame.

With the script now 1/3 complete and with a session agreed at the eLearning Guild's DevLearn 2007 in San Jose in November, my mind is turning to how I can convert this script into a half-decent piece of e-learning to show all those folks who come along to take a look. When confronted by too much choice, consumers choose familiar options.

On the other hand if the developer does not agree that a change is required, or if he has a question about the feedback, he can type a note to that effect and send that information back to the tester. Captivate 4 on Mac Adobe has been hinting about a Mac version of Captivate since at least DevLearn 2007.
