I had read a few blog posts by Dave Cormier (the godfather of the philosophy) and I follow the intrepid Soozie Bea (a card-carrying disciple), but unfortunately I missed Dave’s #rhizo14 mooc earlier in the year. It seems to me that rhizomatic learning is the pedagogical antithesis of direct instruction.

Initially, you can start where only your instructional designers / writers are allowed to make changes. It takes more work, but initially this is a good way to overcome this objection. Limit Authoring - You can control who is allowed to make changes. Then, maybe open it up to subject matter experts. Then to the help desk.
