Captivate supports the following types of Video Delivery : Progressive download, RTMP Streaming, Flash Video Streaming Service (FVSS). Now we come to enabling these in Captivate. As you know, Captivate has two different video features : Slide Video and FLV Object (details here ). There are multiple delivery modes.

Some background Info: When you insert video into Captivate as Slide Video, it by default is configured to be progressive download. You don’t need to do any more specific changes in your captivate project to get Slide Video working. You can verify whether your server setting is OK by using any FLV player like this.

So to get a clear picture, let’s see the various formats supported by Adobe Captivate 9, Articulate Storyline, and Lectora 16. Adobe Captivate 9. In Captivate 9, we can import only these image (Shift+Ctrl+M) formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, ICO, EMF, WMF, POT, POTX, and PICT. Video formats include AVI, MOV, MPEG, WMV, ASF, and FLV.
