There have been a lot of changes to the authoring tool landscape in the last 12 months, so I thought I’d update it. . Notes: Price: Captivate is the most affordable at $899, with a subscription model that is even more affordable if you only use Captivate occasionally or if you upgrade every year. So which tool is best? It depends!

Retina screen – software recordings. However to record a Video Demo or a Software simulation you did have to edit the AdobeCaptivate.ini file. Personally I don’t find that so important because the condition ‘IF 1 is equal to 1’ worked as well, but much more has changed. Enhancements Decisions.

Retina screen – software recordings. However to record a Video Demo or a Software simulation you did have to edit the AdobeCaptivate.ini file. Just one tip: if you are on Win10, check the Display setting before recording (both Video Demo/Software Simulation). Some are mentioned in the documentation, some not.

When using the Submit All feature for a quiz, up till now it was not possible to localize this popup dialog box (style can be changed using the Object Style Manager): In Captivate 2017, the dialog box whidh appears when you click the option ‘Submit All Messages in Quiz, Preferences has all you need to localize everything.
