.   During a standard import process, PowerPoint pptx presentations are first converted to the ppt format and then converted to SWF. If you select  High Fidelity , the import process takes native pptx files directly to Captivate SWF (the ppt conversion is skipped).

Question About Adobe Captivate 5: What's Up With the "Enable SWF for conversion to iPhone application" Option? I know that Apple and Adobe are at war with regards to SWF output playing on the iPhone or iPad. " Tags: Adobe's Technical Communication Suite Captivate. I'm confused.

Apple’s recent announcement that it has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines has direct implications for the publishing options available from Captivate 5 and Adobe eLearning Suite 2. To deploy a Captivate course on an iPhone you need Adobe eLearning Suite 2, or both Adobe Captivate 5 and Adobe Flash Professional.

Note that the SWF published files won’t be of much reuse when repurposing. While all the above can help you reduce Flash to HTML5 conversion costs, be aware that rough edges do appear to the final product.
