Those of you have heard of HTML 5 will know it’s a new version of HTML and XHTML being promoted by Google and Apple in a bid to move the web away from proprietary technologies like Flash, Silverlight and JavaFX. The Mozilla Foundation has already implemented the open source Ogg Theora and Ogg Vorbis codecs for video in the beta of Firefox 3.5

Elearning development tools: only Adobe? Over the last ten years or so, major elearning developers have preferred to use tools like Flash, Authorware and Director from Adobe (earlier Macromedia). However, we haven’t heard much about elearning development using Silverlight.

What makes Firefox different from other browsers is it being open source and highly customizable using Firefox add-ons. We have found several of these add-ons to be really helpful in the eLearning development. Using Flash-Switcher you can also add or remove different versions of Flash Player.
