A ‘low-cost’ LMS starts at an average of $58K. That’s the low price. Web conferencing services like DimDim now offer the equivalent of WebEx. Because it’s open source, there are no licensing costs. There’s no vendor who creates Moodle per say. Which is still a whole LOT of money.
