Diigo is my social bookmarking option. I also back up bookmarks to Delicious, but especially after the disastrous transition to AVOS (a third of my bookmarks didn’t survive the migration), I’m so glad I don’t rely on Delicious as a primary tool. Moodle is the LMS I use most currently.

Simulation Tools General Trends: Move from client-server to service oriented architectures (mashups) -- changes power relations and info control and where things can come from. I would like to ask: Why should an e-learning system have chat, groups, calendars and forums when there are Yahoo meesengers, eGroups, etc. found in the net?

Yes, I know you can embed real interactivity into courseware via games, branched simulations, virtual worlds etc, but hardly anyone does that. Suddenly SMEs are back in the game… Write up a Word doc and convert it? Update the Word doc and re-convert it? Not to mention blogs, wikis, discussion forums and social bookmarks.
