Synergy lets me easily switch focus back to the Elluminate screen to join the backchannel chat or answer a poll; you just move your mouse over to the other screen and type away. Here’s a rough idea of how this worked. On my work laptop, I use these programs that I don’t have installed on my personal desktop: Outlook.
