It is true that the rapid e-learning development methodology leverages existing instructor-led training (ILT) content such as PowerPoint presentations to create online courses. Developers of online courses need to address this shortcoming when they convert PPT files, used in ILT sessions, to online courses. Please do so.

to jailbreak, and that is a problem. This is a problem with generative AI. Not an ILT session. I have seen the same problem with using Bing Create and even MidJourney regarding images. The vendor eats the cost. This was the company’s own information, and not from a public generative AI. into an LLM.

Learn to turn any content into professional graphics using PowerPoint, free and low-cost tools, and a few tricks the pros use. Will the learning solution cure the problem or prevent the symptom? It's more engaging than a training manual, but sharing it on your LMS (or worse, on YouTube) can create problems.

For instance, say ‘instructor led training’ before saying ILT. The action is moved by dialogue but it starts a problem that needs to be addressed. When selling learning for example, resist putting abbreviations in a person’s mouth before it’s made clear. And be specific about stage directions as well.

If we already had an instructor led course that covered this subject it would be easy to calculate the cost of the ILT versus the cost of the eLearning version. I'm sure the cost of eLearning would pale in comparison to rolling out an instructor led course. Where there's a will there is a way!

If you are still a huge fan of ILT or believe a blended learning approach is necessary, why stick only to PowerPoint, handouts and long talks? Augmented reality opens those doors. Why not hand people a tablet with an AR app on it and expand their horizons. Continues to be a growth market. Smaller size vendors are now entering the foray.

A virtual classroom is a smaller group, perhaps 10 or less, and the instructor is facilitating instruction just as would be done in instructor-led training (ILT) in a classroom. What are the biggest differences between face-to-face ILT training and live online training? Even their low cost headsets are really good.
