I received an inquiry about the need for a low cost LMS solution and I've not had time to help this person with answers. Situation description: I have talked to several vendors and have received quotes at the 6-8k (per year) range for the licensing. costs that can exceed license costs.

The biggest aspect, well, at least from my writings about the show, and vendors who need a course in how to do a trade show with you know prospects walking about; was something I will get to shortly.

Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

They involved talent management, “hello and goodbye” with vendors, social learning, upswing in mobile learning, new feature sets in the authoring tool space, flat lining in web conferencing and standalone platforms. Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning.

M-Learning – Unless vendor specifies it only means that you can view their platform via a mobile device (browser). Does not mean games nor the ILT approach of gamification. Vendors get it. or LMSs that are low, low cost are selling “As Is” – so no discount. Not universal at all.
