I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). Oracle Taleo – Seriously, either overhaul this thing or dump it and torch it. SumTotal by Skillsoft. Saba Learning.

We know that if the browser supports Flash 10.1, then it is not an issue, and both the current and betas do support Flash. Let’s take a brief look at a couple of recent moves: Taleo acquires Learn.com. They are an ERP system founded by the guy who started Peoplesoft and then eventually sold it to Oracle.

Yet, Avant supported Flash and Java. The issue isn’t so much a support question of HTML5 on the iPad, but rather the fact of lack of support of Flash and Java on the iPad. Not every browser supports the same video codecs, a downside to HTML5. Chrome 8 plus future editions support VP8 – proprietary only to Google.

Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. Most of the time (as is the case with Oracle) these are different products. Oracle's ( Learning Management and PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management but less so it's iLearning ) and SAP Enterprise Learning score better than I would have expected. Oracle 14 7.48
