We know that if the browser supports Flash 10.1, then it is not an issue, and both the current and betas do support Flash. Let’s take a brief look at a couple of recent moves: Taleo acquires Learn.com. They are an ERP system founded by the guy who started Peoplesoft and then eventually sold it to Oracle.

LMS and performance management companies started merging and then the big HR/talent players acquired them. Oracle acquired Taleo who had acquired Learn.com and the list goes on. All LMS vendors in this category are capable and focused on supporting all aspects of the learning inside and outside an organization.

Yet, Avant supported Flash and Java. The issue isn’t so much a support question of HTML5 on the iPad, but rather the fact of lack of support of Flash and Java on the iPad. Not every browser supports the same video codecs, a downside to HTML5. Chrome 8 plus future editions support VP8 – proprietary only to Google.

Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. Most of the time (as is the case with Oracle) these are different products. Oracle's ( Learning Management and PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management but less so it's iLearning ) and SAP Enterprise Learning score better than I would have expected. Oracle 14 7.48

CoD uses the module angle, whereas you can buy one module (learning for example) and if you want performance management – that is a separate module. I should note that Saba is another HCM possible player, and that the majority of their customers also buy two modules (learning and performance). Oracle Taleo.
