The other huge issue is that the course terms of chapter-page-lesson/scenario and so forth has turned into “slides” As an added bonus, some products do not enable folks to have a TOC or even push or mention of it. I’ve seen a few vendors offer the “hierarchy” option rather than the slide look on the left side.

Slide details will be captured automatically. Lectora and Captivate provide fully responsive design courses but there are some bugs.

You have objects, elements, layers (in many cases) along with an option to go tree or not, with some allowing the “slide” like view too; you can also create a course with PPT slides only, but that is not the ideal target.
