Last week Microsoft launched a new network called so.cl – pronounced ‘social’ – which is being discussed all over the web. It is described as “an experimental research project, developed by Microsoft’s FUSE Labs, focused on exploring the possibilities of social search for the purpose of learning.” The layout resembles an amalgamation of existing social networks, taking cues from Google+, Facebook, Twitter and more”.

What are Conversation Searches? During those presentations, I'll mention what are sometimes called "vanity searches." These searches look for any mention of your name, company, URLs across blogs and other sites. For me, these searches primarily allow me to see what people are saying in response to something that I've put out there.
