Back in 2000, the knock on rapid content authoring tools were they “pre-template” driven solutions. Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. Another vendor I spoke with, is offering 80 templates. Other vendors are falling suit. HTML5: Must be a Fad.

Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be the first real challenger to the iPad, it runs on Android OS, offers Flash 10.1 Again, the iPad runs with HTML5, not Flash nor Java. True, the other tablets and Samsung offer Flash 10.1 and Java, but they offer HTML5 too. Same issue occurred with Opera – used Flash and Java.

Equally horrible, is that some companies are still using old versions of IE or an outdated computer system with Windows 2000 on it. Another small trend is providing advanced admin capabilities in the form of admins who have CSS, Flash,PHP or other languages. Forecast: More vendors offering the integration capability of APIs.
