Some vendors won’t use SCORM because it takes time to add and implement it. SCORM’s premise, not what it can or cannot do, was its huge premise of interoperability—far more so than AICC. In the late 80s, AICC, the predecessor to SCORM, was born. vs SCORM 2004 as it was newer. vs SCORM 2004 as it was newer.

2004 3rd edition? Because if you are using a content authoring tool that is SCORM 2004, then you must find a system that is at least 2004. What about AICC? Unless you purchased a tool that is only AICC compliant, which in that case, time to ditch it and get another one. What SCORM compliance are you?

How many of you have seen vendors respond to your questions? A: Virtually every LMS vendor out there in the marketplace provides these features. Congrats, you are probably looking at less than 10 (based on my LMS directory which contains 475 vendors). Smart App for TV – One LMS vendor. SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS.
