The ongoing work of learning standards

The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initiative of the Department of Defense finally had enough. They wanted a standard, took a plausible set of standards from the work, and called it the Standard Courseware Object Reference Model (SCORM). ADL decided to create a new standard, the Experience API (xAPI; originally known as Tin Can).
