When I first joined Rustici in 2011, SCORM was the de facto standard for our customers. xAPI was a glimmer in the eye of ADL, Rustici and in particular Ben Clark, who was spearheading Project Tin Can development.

But in 2010, after putting out a call for vendors to develop a set of next-gen eLearning standards, the governing body of SCORM, Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), tasked a company—Rustici Software—with that responsibility.
