9 Adobe Captivate 7. Feature wise the product has quite a bit, but my biggest gripe with Adobe is that this product always seems to be behind its top competitors. HTML5 output including a PPT converter to HTML5. Searchable content. Assessment tool including randomization. Design effects. Well, it isn’t!

In the authoring tool world: PowerPoint focused authoring tool, Basically you know PPT, love it and want the ability to build within it and then convert your PPT to a Course. In the housing world that would be whether you want a townhouse, apt., condo, house, etc. They are out there, I wouldn’t use one, but they do exist.

The Macromedia set typically would toss in Director, which created an equally impressive array of course capabilities, but a deep learning curve. Eventually, Macromedia Dreamweaver came into the picture. Adobe Captivate. HTML and Javascript.
