In 2005, PENS was launched by AICC but did not initially gain wide acceptance. I think xAPI has managed to do that, but I don’t see SCORM disappearing anytime soon. I mean look at how long AICC has managed to keep a foothold, despite even the recent disbanding of the formal group.
