Our relationship goes back a long way too as I can recall the days of using Captivate when it was owned by Macromedia. During those years there weren’t many other alternatives. Articulate wasn’t the juggernaut that it is today, and aside from learning how to program Flash, Macromedia Captivate was your next best option.

Instead, it was someone from Macromedia Dreamweaver, which is software for building websites. LTG, Macromedia, Adobe, and Smart ideas (for the most part) LTG acquiring Rustici (makers of the SCORM engine and Watershed LRS, among other items) is a great idea. At the time, I hated it. Probably the best con artist of all time.

A simple search on that topic will yield results from major players Adobe Captivate, Articulate (Storyline and Studio), iSpring, among others. Macromedia Captivate (later acquired by Adobe) was one of the first major players into the game. These people could also charge quite a bit for this service, so not all was bad.
