You could count on your hand the number of vendors even looking at it, and I’m not just talking LMSs/Learning Portals, but content authoring tools and other products. I recall speaking in November on a webinar panel and being somewhat chided over the fact that I kept repeating the importance of mobile learning and tablets.

Product – 54.2%. Product training reigns supreme. Not a real surprise here, when you consider that for many organizations, especially in certain industries, knowing the product inside and out, would be highly advisable. This follows the Apple angle on iBook publishing and Amazon as well. Compliance – 42.8%.

A trend that is happening in the LMS market more so than in the other e-learning markets, is the failure to follow their path of success. I am seeing many vendors whose products were built for SMB (and more aligned on the lower side of mid size companies) who are now pushing into the mid/upper mid to large size customer band.
