The ability to record audio in real time or post time makes a lot of sense and eliminates the need for using Audacity (albeit it is a wonderful and free product). There are more vendors who do not offer the ability to post – i.e. add audio afterwards it is quite amazing. E-Learning 24/7. Audio Recording and Editing.

Despite overall consumer demand (not just within e-learning) for tablets, and numbers showing that tablets are outselling notebooks, e-learning vendors as whole are sitting back and waiting. Audio editing – still no match to Audacity, a free program. Market as a whole. Authoring Tools.

Their video encode program is lackluster, you are better off using Audacity – which is free. Engage is the only product you can edit the HTML – using a HTML Kit. Granted the changes are limited but at least it is something. The rest you can’t. . The Cons – Articulate Studio.

Audacity which is free – destroys it. Image editing – several vendors are offering this – I expect more to follow suit – but not huge numbers by the end of 2013. Action script programming, HTML extensions and other advanced feature sets targeting e-learning developers. Audio Editing.
