I believe that you can expect some type of voice capability with the actors/avatars as in the ability to either lip synch with the characters via audio tool/recording tool in the product will show up more in 2013. Just as you can with PENS authoring tools and the systems that support PENS (i.e with TinCan). What is TinCan?

Course standards include xAPI and PENS, besides the standards of SCORM. . I will say that I’m not a fan of the analytics angle, because it opens up the approach that you could use the system in a somewhat manner of an LCMS or mini LMS (many SaaS authoring tools follow that path – and I dislike that too). If you are wondering if the “publish once to all” means the vendor is using PENS, the answer is no, they are not using PENS. . However, I think every SaaS authoring tool vendor should use PENS. . First AT vendor to use PENS. Daily Backups. On a mobile device that is, it is an app.

The latter is slowly gaining speed, which is an advantage to LMS vendors who have a CAT in their own product – which is SCORM,PENS/IMS compliant. Over 98% of the LMS/LCMS/learning platform have at least one compliance standard, so why use a RCAT that doesn’t? Screen capture, audio editing. Still in the infant stage.

Screen recorder or desktop recorder converted into Flash or.AVI or.WMV or MP4 format or other formats, with audio/video editing and recording (not all mind you offer audio/video editing). PPT or Word to Flash and the end user can add a TOC, some assessments, audio, video, even additional flash learning objects and attachments.
