History of the LMS

The majority of people creating the courses used authoring tools, such as Authorware (difficult to learn, but robust), Dazzler Max (I used it, learning curve though), Lectora (difficult to learn) and many others that existed then. If you wanted micro-learning, you could do it. Yep, readily available.

What you need 2 know: 3rd Party Content

You can build your own via a 3rd party authoring tool. And not only do they provide the “course marketplace or content marketplace”, but they are adding content for free, to when you buy the LMS or other type of learning system. Who remembers NetG? Back in the day, there were some big names out there.
