I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Listen, Authorware is dead, so why create a product that is trying to bring it back to life with your own product?

Someone did the instructional design, someone else worked on graphics, and then we had a programmer who built the courses in Authorware or some other application. There’s even a generic course on how to take a PowerPoint file and convert that to an elearning course. Upcoming Events. That’s usually not the case today.

Will it replicate those craving for an Authorware return? Can convert Flash to HTML5. Actions, properties, events. If you have course building knowledge or some tech skills and are familiar with events, actions, properties – then you can do quite a bit more. Absolutely not, but it does offer some punch.

No SaaS – While the e-learning industry as a whole is going into the cloud, AT vendors as a whole are staying with desktop, even though they have features such as notes (ideal for collaboration, SME peer review in the cloud). The same can be said for “Events” too, lots of choices. LMTK), never used slides.

When they hit stride, other vendors take notice and soon, the lemming revolution begins. Provides social learning features including shoutbox, photos, discussion boards, blogs, events, polls, articles. Nor, a LMS vendor who enable their customers to sell their courses, but only people who have the same LMS vendor can buy and use them.
