tools (their environment in particular had blogs, feeds, wikis, discussion boards, portals, and profiles), and to talk about some case studies of successes. For example, blogs are really personal (or group) journals, and it’s easy to have a learning task to reflect a couple of times a week (for example) on what the current course means to you personally. Of course, reading other learner’s blog posts, and commenting, can extend the value of the individual post.

Social media tools are useful anywhere we want to incorporate collaborative learning activities. . eLW: The social media tools for the classroom are great for collaboration, so do you see or want to see those tools used for other aspects of corporate work? They are wonderful for performance support, mentoring and coaching, and peer-to-peer learning. . I try to stay on top of blog feeds but find I often just have to make an hour a week to review everything.

This week is about blogging. I just think its time to take a look at blogging again since I, and others from what I hear, seem to be neglecting blogs, feed readers, etc, in favor of microblogging. I'm actually writing this blog post from Amplify.com which is an interesting hybrid tool. I'm hoping to crank out at least 2 or 3 blog posts before Friday because I'll be headed to the Blogworld & New Media Expo in Vegas. But that's not blogging.
