On behalf of a blog reader, I had the opportunity to listen in on a webinar for the Taleo Learn Business Edition. SCORM 2004/1.2 AICC/SCORM/IMS. CertPoint was a consideration as well, and they do offer mobile learning with some social learning. Tango is a different product line from CertPoint – fyi.

Increase in the number of rapid course authoring tools that offer assessment tool capabilities including randomization, quiz banks, numerous question options and can be part of the course to be uploaded as a SCORM package. Most tend to be proprietary, but I have seen a few that are SCORM/AICC and yes even PENS. What about cheating?

Vendors who hand you a product (trial) and their business card or they just have their items in a bowl and you grab one. It is a serious problem in our space, and goes across all products and business size. CERTPOINT VLS - including their mobile solution. I hear the same horror stories from other training management folks too.

If you just want the LMS, then the best fit IMO is SMB (Small to mid-size business). Anyway, social exists in the platform, along with a built in authoring tool and the system is SCORM course standard. . SCORM yes – AICC? The system used to be CertPoint for those wondering. The LMS is solid. ELEARNINGFORCE.
