Courseware LMSs – Good or bad for the industry?

eLearning 24-7

Maybe you purchased it via Open Sesame, or Skillsoft. This isn’t the fault of Open S, rather it is just well, a reality of the business. Skillsoft – The behemoth of the courses/content space. A key factor is that Skillsoft has acquired many course providers in the past and with that have good and bad mixed together. Skillsoft I find is very flexible in this regard (as a whole). They do have e-learning courses, besides their ILT.

Am I an LMS? And if so.

Ability to upload a course or courses from a 3rd party course/content provider (example: Wiley, Skillsoft, etc.). A calendar – Should have scheduled items on it, could be webinars (online only), seminars (ILT), online group whatevers , days you can’t be bothered, etc. If you are doing any form of ILT, you will want your LMS to have classroom management. If you are 100% online only with ZERO ILT and never will have it, then you do not need classroom management.
