I’ve always found this product to be the top of the line for PowerPoint to Flash course builds. The two biggest negatives IMO, is that it just isn’t robust enough for e-learning developers and its whole focus on PPT into converting to a course doesn’t help. Articulate. Adobe Captivate. Articulate Studio. Feature rich.

Honestly, I wish they would do more with their “online” version, in comparison but they have not. Tin Can API support, HTML5 output, ADA 508 and SCORM. HTML5 integration, SCORM. Output to HTML5. Publishes to HTML5. HTML5 output. Can convert Flash to HTML5. Fun Features.

Whenever a comparison of eLearning authoring tools is published, Captivate still is considered to be the best tool for creation of software tutorials. Those are SWF-based but will be converted to MP4 when publishing to HTML5. Standalone version (exe): not sure what the future will be when Flash Player has died.

Slide Layer, Convert to Freeform, Zoom Region, Record Screen, and all the others are nearly the same as previous version. Same with the flash icon. Who is still using flash, BTW? If you are going to offer Flash as an option, why not HTML5? There are plenty of HTML5 object sites out there. Pick and Go.
