You (learner) are not allowed to pick your own courses – it is the LMS. LMSs are more about compliance and regulatory and not about remediation. LMSs focus more on having the managers select the courses for learners. As for the point that LMSs are focused on compliance and regulatory – that is 100% not true.

Latest on LMS Insight – Before you buy

Learner driven features, for example, Instagram is popular with social and more importantly via video, so why am I not seeing something similar in social? Where is the mobile video uploads into a LMS? Oh, right, nowhere. Auto connectors with various HRIS, ERP, CRMs etc. Performance Management to me, could be a blessing or a curse.
