Thus, there is real attraction in being able to sign up for hosted services that provide these tools without Corporate IT being involved. We had no trouble with our PBWiki. Do not believe any vendor claim that "it works through firewalls" because a firewall can be configured to stop anything it wants. The security issue not new.

I’m liveblogging the webinar Growing in a Down Market with PBwiki. Security: They have passwords visible on the wiki, but that’s OK b/c the security of the wiki is OK–must log in to view the confidential content. Q: How do you feel about this critical company intellectual property being hosted by someone else?
