Primarily it is a PowerPoint to Flash conversion tool with additional features for eLearning development such as narration recording , quiz assessments , and LMS publishing. The ability to natively record slide-by-slide video annotations is a feature currently only supported in Snap. So just what is Snap?

I sent my slides to the event planner prior to the conference (as requested) and just assumed there would be Internet access. Plan B+: original slides, video, Twitter on my mobile, and screen shots. I’ve uploaded my slides to SlideShare. Once I add that, I’ll free it up for download. Couple of takeaway’s for me….

Some of their customers had PowerPoint slide decks and wanted to convert them into courses. I challenged her thinking and stated that the PowerPoint slides were just content and that any good course designer could convert the content into an effective and engaging course. It’s one slide and no layers.

Articulate Presenter is arguably the most popular PowerPoint to Flash conversion tool available. It’s also an easy way to create Flash animations from slides. I downloaded Studio 09, but haven’t tried the new Presenter yet. That’s no fluke, the tool works well and streamlines development.
