Ability to add basic transitional effects – for those that want to use it . Another issue I have with many vendors who offer effects – again, I like that – is that they fail to mention. The total amount of time to save and publish video with effects is longer depending on the number of transitions and effects.

Oh, excuse me – social networking to most of the vendors who spin it under the guise of social learning. I won’t constantly bore you on their Facebook, Twitter like components, nor discussion board or text chat, but seriously.who thinks this is engaging and interactive? E-Learning 24/7. Yes, I own one.

They have become adept at incorporating flash animations, pdfs, PowerPoint presentations, audio-visual material and any number of other techniques for getting training messages across to users in effective and imaginative ways. Are they producing high-quality e-Learning? This sounds like a bit of an overstatement to me.

Online gaming, and not just Farmville on Facebook, is exploding. Editing/Adding Effects/Manipulating. If you said using features to edit, add effects and change, you would be correct. E-Learning End Users, saying it loud and clear – We want these features! And it is not just teens using it. 11% Other .

Theres nothing in ADDIE about learning objects or the presentation of information. Most e-Learning vendors mention ADDIE or some form thereof on their websites as if it was a real science about creating effective learning. I disagree that ADDIE is an instructional design model.

That said, some big dogs have focused and thus created products geared towards the plus 1,000 or 5,000 employees that their solution does not offer the necessary features and capabilities to penetrate effectively into the market. Forecast: More vendors offering the integration capability of APIs. 67% have a Facebook account.
