Because the industry as a whole is a lemming, I expect more vendors to come on board. Right now I am doing a survey on authoring tools (more on this at the end of the post) and so far 100% of all respondents state that HTML5 output is required in an authoring tool. HTML5 output. I am still stunned that this is slogging away.

Another Apple patent includes allowing users via touch free gesturing to move content from one device to another (example from your iPad to your television). Smaller size vendors are now entering the foray. Downside to such an approach – especially for small to mid size vendors.

Toss in the integration of ERP solutions (Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP, Workday) and HRIS systems into the mix and you will see why this is growing. There are vendors who state they are “Performance Management&# LMS/LCMSs, rather than just saying they are a LMS/LCMS vendor. Google maps is an example of an APIs.
