Online/offline synchronization for mobile learning with tablets – The number one request I receive from my consumer clients is whether they system has a m-learning app that works with tablets and online/offline synchronization. A couple of vendors told me they think it will be a fad. Expect it to continue.

Tin Can compliment – but no native app and no online/offline synch. Tin Can API with online/offline synchronization – AWESOME! M-Learning offers online/offline synchronization. No Tin Can and thus no online/offline synch. Great educational learning management system. What are those? Competencies.

Many vendors stated as such to me. I was surprised at the number of vendors who had no idea on what is Tin Can. I was equally surprised that a couple of vendors did not see the value in online/offline synch nor where aware that end users wanted this feature. The cost is $325 per license, but a minimum of 25 licenses.

How about – Litmos actually skinning the product themselves – as the majority of vendors do – at no additional charge or more simple click customization options. Currently, Litmos does not offer the ability for online/offline synchronization with a mobile device. But, still – yowsa! END OF THE GAME.

Offline viewing. E-commerce. APIs – as in their (video learning platform itself) API is open. So if you have five people using one computer for the recorder, you get charged only for one license. If the same five are all using recorders on five different computers it equals five licenses. SCORM compliant.
