It was an exciting first day, with lots of vendors hitting the entire training spectrum. Here are my favorites: Numerous vendors were unhappy that they had to pay $700 a day for Wi-Fi, that didn’t work most of the time or was slow. One vendor who spent $5,000 on their booth, thought the $700 a day fee was obscene and declined.

No surprise that some vendors are also waiting to see what happens. M-Learning with a native app – slowly trucking along, but I am hearing quite a few vendors who are either in development or getting going in 2014. One vendor is focused only on SaaS products including social media. Again, it is hot, hot, hot.

Incentive Points = Learning. I recall a few years back talking to a vendor whose product included incentive points for their learners. Gamification in learning must be fun and must be applicable to real world (especially in adults). E-Learning 24/7. What motivates me, may not motivate you.

For those of uninitiated, Online Educa Berlin, is an e-learning conference geared towards higher education and with some corporate. If you are an e-learning vendor in the higher education space and doing or planning on doing business in Europe, this is the place to be. And yes, yes it was. Absolutely.
