However, our penchant for pretty and persuasive presentations can lead to fairly large file sizes. NXPowerLite can handle PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, JPEG, PNG and TIFF files.

Note: You have a choice of either JPEG or PNG from the Format drop-down menu. In this instance you are choosing JPEG because of its relatively small file sizes. If you were posting images to the internet it might be in your best interest to choose PNG. Click Send to iPhoto.

That’s true, but if an image perfectly meets the JPEG or GIF criteria, you’ll often get a smaller file size using those options. If an image meets the criteria of multiple formats, I suggest comparing file sizes in the Photoshop or Illustrator export window using a 2-up or 4-up display. It’s a toss up between PNG and GIF.
