The second half of the prediction “self directed learning” got less attention during the year than I anticipated, but it was there and certainly was a big part of the discussion around social and informal learning. It's going to be tough for me-too tools to push out these players in the corporate market. Lectora is great at packaging.

It's going to be tough for me-too tools to push out these players in the corporate market. 7 - Niche Tools Emerge and Get Traction in Niches So the caveat to the above statement about the big players getting bigger is that I believe we will see more and more niche tools get traction. . #7 They also fit into a wiki page.

More podcasts and video casts for audiences with easy access, think students, remote sales forces, etc. 2008 Prediction #7 => LMS => More of What You Don't Want Large players will continue to move towards functionality in Talent Management - likely mostly features that you really don't care that much about. What an oversight.
