I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. I like this system and its functionality in comparison to the other players in this space. The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad. My runner-up is Operitel’s LearnFlex LSP. Optimized for the iPad (one of the 1st).

You could count on your hand the number of vendors even looking at it, and I’m not just talking LMSs/Learning Portals, but content authoring tools and other products. A couple of rapid content authoring tool vendors are incorporating HTML5 features in their tool, which can be used on tablets, and of course the iPad. 100% mobile.
