Lectora Online – Solid solution. I admit the first time I saw the word, I read it out online as something else. Anyway, the tool is nice and they were the first vendor to have try voice synch with the avatars. Online or desktop. If a PPT course tool – what can it do that others in that niche can’t?

Use of PowerPoint in rapid content authoring tools – this has been a big irritant of mine, since the days when PPT first made its appearance in rapid content authoring tools. Some vendors use chapter-page approach with PPT, but there are plenty who do not (why?). Even with just content only – like PPT or video files.

PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Yes, you can use it for many different things, and yes, Microsoft has an add-on that turns PPT into something similar to Adobe Presenter. PowerPoint is presentation software.

If you are wondering if the “publish once to all” means the vendor is using PENS, the answer is no, they are not using PENS. . However, I think every SaaS authoring tool vendor should use PENS. . First AT vendor to use PENS. Daily Backups. The point is they did a lot of things first.
