This mimicry of public space includes the Web. From cable companies being fined for throttling bandwidth , to issues of net neutrality to unexplained censorship , we are reminded daily that the Web is actually a very private place. Maybe the Web can be some kind of Habermas-like salon but its not. Because the mimicry is so good.
