But SumTotal and alike do it as well. Oh, there is also API (Application Program Interface) and Mashups (two more APIs – great example – Google Maps whereas they show restaurants, businesses, etc.). Then a wrap-up review of WOLC, the following week. And sadly, some lower price vendors are using it as well.

More vendors enabling the use of APIs – i.e. people can create their own API and integrate them into the LMS/Learning Portal vendor’s system, this equally means you can create mashups too. So, why then would you not want to know the price – at least the street price, up front. Your Biggest Purchase. I post daily.

If you as the customer want to create your own API/Mashup or find one on the net and want to integrate it into your paid LMS, the vendor will charge you. As I have said before, mobile learning and tablets is going to end up being the biggest thing in the last 10 years in the e-learning industry. As for APIs, well that is another story.
