From the metrics standpoint, though, the best one I have seen so far is Pluralsight. CrossKnowledge has a nice and slick metrics look, too, and ditto with Fuse. Here is Pluralsight’s Metrics Design – Notice how it tells you, the admin, the person overseeing L&D or Training a story around your end-user’s learning?

I pulled back from relying way too much on the template this year – although I did use it for specifics such as best system for skills. If you like, then RFP it. Not The capability library is by far the biggest win here – this is a metric if you will – Loved it. Why the change? Not the other way around.

While I have conducted random sampling (as you would have with any polls out there), and data collection as part of my LMS RFP Template (New version now out), I believe it needs to be expanded. My template has repeatedly provided questions for support. It asks for metrics from the vendor. Last question, before metrics.

I’ve spoken with hundreds of vendor references over the past few years and I have found plenty of buyers who say they love their LMS — although I also find many more who are neither thrilled nor dissatisfied. So they send the RFP to too few or too many. I don’t think that is the case. Define Requirements Like an Amateur.
