Social learning solution? More are popping up and will likely continue to do so in 17 and 18, especially when it comes to vendors in the LMS space incorporating them as part of their platform. A few quick points, that many vendors fail to note regarding an LRS (and I can’t decide if it is because they are unaware or indifferent).

By way of background, Jeff told me that OutStart has two flavors: Participate, their general social software solution and TrainingEdge.com, their SaaS solution which includes LMS, collaborative authoring, and social media specifically configured to support learning. Q: What is OutStart doing with social media integration in their LMS?

Most of the well-known LMS vendors have user group meetings and/or conferences, including: Blackboard. Many of the “social learning&# tools (ex. Tools like TweetGrid allow you to track keywords related to your niche of learning and technology. Cornerstone. GeoLearning. Technology / Development-focused user groups.

And if you are talking Reusable Learning Objects, Courseware Templates, Tracking Mechanisms, Content Management, etc. capabilities, with tracking being done behind the scenes. However, there's Communities / Social Networking and LMS Merger announcement around Mzinga. Still not sure. I'm really well positioned.
