I want to create some online videos that will be a total of about 6-7 hours and upload them on my site. Qarbon Pros: Less File size. Qarbon seems very easy to use. These videos would have software demos, screencasts and PowerPoints embedded inside them. I have been looking into various tools. Creates as screenshot.

What about Adobe products vs. Articulate vs. Qarbon ? But, I actually think things in the world of traditional online courseware development have become much easier. Where does PowerPoint fit into the standards? Should we be supporting OpenOffice? Where does SCORM fit into the picture? Should we demand that our product support SCORM?

The version you want is the Pro version which comes with Corel Paint Shop Pro, Qarbon Viewlet builder. This is an online authoring system (see info above) and its authoring tool means business. UI has to make sense and be very navigation and logical friendly. Solid set of features. It doesn’t output to HTML5, though. #8

If it's an e-learning tutorial that you're after, including the usual mix of multimedia and interactions, then you have to make an important choice, between tools that you install on your desktop and online tools: Desktop tools ( Flash , Authorware , Lectora , etc.) It's OK to have lots of tools, if you can afford them.

The panel consisted of representatives from Adobe Captivate , Articulate and Qarbon , along with Jay Cross (yes, I know, I wondered whether he'd just turned up in the wrong room and, given that he's always got something interesting to say, they just allowed him to join in). They both refer to the authors of this rapid content as being SMEs.

Applications you install on you computer (all those mentioned above except Atlantic Link) as opposed to online services (Atlantic Link, Mohive , Alto ). Of course, all authoring tools have always described themselves as quick and easy to use, with absolutely no programming required, but of course we know otherwise.
