PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Many of you already use tools like Photoshop to create your graphics. GIMP : solid Photoshop alternative. Paint.net : solid Gimp or Photoshop alternative:). Do you spend a long time cropping them out with Photoshop, or is there an easier way? I use Photoshop, but you can do it with most graphic editing tools.
