First I’d like to start by wishing all readers a (belated) very happy new year! The year 2008 was certainly a challenge for many people, in many ways. Of course that could be said about any year, but clearly the global economic turmoil made it particularly true of 2008. In particular, I hope you make 2009 a great year of learning!
Element K participates in numerous community events in the Rochester, New York area. Element K's team had over a dozen participants, from across our organization. Congratulations to everyone who participated, both from Element K and from around the Rochester region!

Probably just three years ago, if you said Element K I would have immediately thought about off-the-shelf courseware. However, Element K has made substantial, progressive improvements to their LMS, most recently by building custom integrations between Jive Clearspace and KnowledgeHub, Element K’s LMS.

When you look back at 2000-2002, companies getting VC funding were folks like Outstart, Hyperwave, Infocast, Element K, Pathlore, Vuepoint, Knowledge Impact. Because of my background working with leading startups, e.g., eHarmony, MyShape, LoanToolbox, etc., Some of that is still happening with folks like Cornerstone getting $32M.
