Mzinga is the result of a merger between KnowledgePlanet and Shared Insights at the end of 2007. My more recent contact at Mzinga is Dave Wilkins. spoke with Dave via email about what Mzinga is doing with social media. Q: What social media tools is Mzinga incorporating into their LMS? It’s Friday yay! Thanks Dave!

MZINGA created a "set" of 20 images capturing their event experience. did not get a chance to see the MZINGA booth, I was not able to attend their session, and I did not talk with any of the workers on site. mZinga is a social media company and they understand the power of the medium. Okay, so the Orlando jet lag is worn off.
I've not seen a lot about Mzinga in the eLearning world, but it represents something pretty interesting. Mzinga is a merger of KnowledgePlanet (an LMS provider and also the maker of the eLearning simulation tool - Firefly) and Shared Insights - a community / business social networking software company. wonder if mzinga does?
Mzinga seems to have jumped out early with a strong social platform that also has an LMS capability. Dave Wilkins from Mzinga talks about the two models of social learning as depicted by the diagram on the right. constantly hear people (across many organizations) complain about their learning management system (LMS). It’s ugly.
View more presentations from Mzinga. Last year at DevLearn I presented a session about the top 15 objections to social learning and how to overcome them. It was a GREAT session. In fact, it was where Dave Wilkins and I met and where we started doing the podcasts , webinars , Social Learning Question of the Day on Twitter and other projects.
The CoP companies we talk with tell us that their businesses are booming (Tomoye and Mzinga being two which focus heavily in this space). As I read the blog I'd like to post a few updates on our research and predictions for e-learning in 2008. The solutions organizations are looking for include blogs, wikis, and communities of practice.
Mzinga Publisher. I’ve been slicing and dicing our Authoring Tool KnowledgeBase and doing some online research in response to a question about collaborative rapid authoring tools that developers in multiple locations can use. After looking at the Authoring Tool KnowledgeBase I went to my LinkedIn and Twitter network. CC2 (Inmarkets).
